FAQ
How are Our estimates done?
Most of our residential estimates are done using current technology such as Google Earth, Apple and Google Maps, as well as information about a property online. If there is not enough information available online, and for commercial estimates, one of our estimators will perform the estimate in person by walking around the property.
For window cleaning we use number of windows, type of windows, size of windows, accessibility and ladder requirements to calculate the price.
For gutter cleaning the estimate is calculated using type of roof, pitch of roof, whether we can walk on the roof, height of gutters, length of gutters and amount of trees.

What is included in the Window Cleaning estimate?
The window cleaning estimate includes cleaning all of the windows inside and out, wiping down the frames and sash and cleaning the screens with a soft brush. We do not automatically include the cleaning of tracks, windows or doors between rooms, mirrors, or skylights, but they can be added upon request. Screens can be cleaned with soap and water at an additional cost. Any type of foreign material (paint, adhesive, stickers, stucco, cement, mud, concrete, etc.) on the window is considered construction clean-up and requires a separate quote. Please let us know in advance so we can provide the option.
What is included in the gutter cleaning estimate?
The gutter cleaning estimate includes clearing out all of your gutters, blowing off the roof, and flushing the downspouts. Occasionally the downspouts continue to underground drainage. We will attempt to clear this as well, but occasionally when they are too clogged it will require a plumber to completely clear them. The gutters are often cleaned from the roof so if you do not want us walking on your roof, please let us know before the estimate. This is more time consuming and we will need to factor this into the estimate.
How Often should My windows be cleaned?
Window cleaning is a part of home maintenance. Regular window cleanings will keep mineral deposits from building up and help the windows to stay clear longer. We recommend cleaning them at least once a year, but most of our clients opt for twice a year.
How often should the gutters be cleaned?
Regular gutter cleaning helps keep water flowing correctly down the downspouts, preventing excess weight in the gutter which can lead to rotting and damage to your home. Gutter cleaning should be done at least once a year but depending on how many trees you have above your roof line you may need multiple cleanings in a year.
Do you recommend Gutter Guards?
It depends on the type of trees and the type of roof you have. Gutter guards will often reduce the number of cleanings you need each year, but we still recommend having the gutters and gutter guards cleaned at least once a year. Otherwise your guards can get clogged and not function properly. Over the years we have tried several types of gutter guards and have found many that don’t work. At this time we are only offering one type of gutter guard. It is a foam triangle that sits inside your gutter. This does not work with rounded gutters. If will keep much of the debris out and won’t fall off your gutters. If you have another type you would like installed, we can install it for you.
Do you Clean Skylights and Solar Panels
Yes we clean both skylights and solar panels upon request. Neither are automatically included with a window or gutter cleaning estimate so make sure to let us know, and if you would like both sides of the skylights cleaned.
Why does my window look foggy?
The number one culprit of foggy windows is when the seals on double pane windows fail. Moisture then gets trapped between the panes and causes a fogging of the window. Unfortunately we can't fix or clean the insides of those windows and most often they need to be replaced.
What should I expect from a pressure washing?
Pressure washing is a great way to brighten up your home or business. It can remove a lot of dust and dirt but it isn't always the right choice. Pressure washing uses high pressured water to spray the dirt and dust off. Pressure washing will not remove rust, stains, oil and discoloration. The high pressured stream of water can also cause damage. It will remove loose paint, can rough up old wood, can damage fabric, and can cause water to leak into your home through loose seals on windows and doors. Decks and wood items should be resealed after pressure washing. Tell us about your project and we will let you know if we think it is a good solution for you.
